Scientists at Stanford University have found that aging occurs in several stages, according to the portal Nature Medicine.
Specialists analyzed the plasma proteins of 4263 people aged 18 to 95 years and found non-linear changes in their structure depending on the age of the subjects.
Researchers concluded that the main changes in blood plasma proteins conditionally occur in three stages: at 34, 60 and 78 years.
It is noted that the discovery will allow more effective fight against age-related diseases.
