A falling meteorite was observed over Ciudad Real and Cordoba, Spain

At 00:55 UT on August 10, a bright fireball could be observed over Castilla La Mancha. According to a preliminary analysis by Professor José María Madiedo (IAA-CSIC Andalusian Institute of Astrophysics), the event was of cometary origin and was caused by a meteorite hitting our atmosphere at about 50,000 km/h.
