A geomagnetic storm

In the early hours of 17 August, the flow of the solar wind passed South of the Earth, illuminating our planet’s magnetic field and auroras around the Arctic circle.

More lights may appear tonight. There is a 40% probability of a G1-class geomagnetic storms, since the Land remains in the immediate vicinity of the solar wind flow.
