The American Meteor Society (AMS) received 567 reports of meteor impacts over the eastern United States.
Many eyewitnesses say it looked blue or green and then turned orange before disappearing.
According to reports from the American Meteor Society, this event was also seen on the East Coast as far as Ontario, Canada.
