Due to the strong wind in Japan, more than 180 flights were canceled

More than 180 domestic flights were canceled in Japan due to the squally wind resulting from the formed low pressure zone over the vast territory of the country.

Most flights were canceled at the airports of the northern island of Hokkaido and on the south-western island of Kyushu.

On the island of Hokkaido, the squally winds also violated the railway communication. Over 100 trains were canceled here. Interruptions in the movement of trains, including high-speed trains, are also observed in the south-west of the country.

According to the Chief Meteorological Agency, the wind speed in some regions reached 32 meters per second on Thursday night. Shaky wind in Japan will be observed on Friday, its speed will be 25-28 meters per second.

According to the forecast of meteorologists, on the northern island of Hokkaido can be heavy snowfalls, within a day here can drop up to 70 centimeters of snow. In the coastal areas there will be a rise in waves to 6-8 meters.
