Geomagnetic storm begins on Earth

At the moment the magnetic storm has reached the level of Kr4. This is a weak storm, but it caused powerful auroras. What is unusual is that there is no reason for this geomagnetic storm to occur.

Flash of auroras was recorded yesterday, but geomagnetic disturbances in the Earth’s atmosphere were not recorded. According to the forecasts, the high-speed solar wind flow is only approaching the Earth.

NOAA: “Estimated time of arrival: June 15-16. The gaseous material flows out of the southern hole in the solar atmosphere and may cause auroras at high latitudes when it arrives on Earth.

However, in fact, a powerful burst of auroras was recorded as early as June 11, and the outburst continues today, but it has now been augmented by a geomagnetic storm.
