Geomagnetic storm hits Earth

Today, the Earth is inside a solar wind stream, emerging at a speed of almost 600 km/sec from an equatorial hole in the Sun’s atmosphere.

The solar wind caused a geomagnetic storm on the Earth, reaching the level of Kr5 and the outbreak of powerful auroras.

It is worth noting that the “magnetic shield” of our planet once again was unable to stop this relatively harmless “solar strike” and at some point the magnetic field power simply dropped to zero.
