A huge fireball formed when a meteorite exploded in the dense layers of the atmosphere over the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia on March 16, 2021, turning night into day for a few seconds.
The explosion of the meteorite was accompanied not only by a powerful flash, but also by a loud sound and shaking of the earth’s surface.
