Meteorite fall detected in Morocco

The fall of the meteorite was fixed on the night of August 6, 2021 at 23:12 local time. He entered the Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of about 36,000 kilometers per hour.

The high temperature reached during re-entry led to the formation of a fireball, which appeared at an altitude of about 81 km above the southern province of Taza (Morocco).

The fireball moved to the northwest and disappeared from the cameras’ view when it was about 40 km above the same province.
