NASA showed snow on Mars

NASA using a snapshot from the interplanetary station Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter showed how the surface of Mars looks in the early days of summer. At this time, the planet is freed from large deposits of ice and only small areas of snow remain on the dunes.

Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (Martian reconnaissance satellite) – an interplanetary station for the exploration of a third planet, launched in 2005. He carries a lot of scientific instruments for analysis of relief, stratigraphy, minerals and ice on Mars. Scientists receive from him data on the meteorology and surface of Mars and select places for possible disembarkations on the planet.
