NASA warned of approaching the Earth “potentially dangerous” asteroid

An asteroid approaching the Earth is approaching the size of the pyramid of Cheops. This is evidenced by NASA data.

The asteroid 2016 NF23 is classified by the agency as “potentially dangerous”, as it will fly past the Earth at a distance of less than 0.05 astronomical units (7.5 million kilometers). According to NASA, the size of the asteroid is from 70 to 160 meters in diameter.

According to scientists, the asteroid flies at a speed of more than nine kilometers per second and on August 29 will approach the planet at the closest possible distance.

Previously, NASA reported that in the next hundred years the probability of a collision of any of the known asteroids with the Earth is almost zero.
