Over Spain observed a slowly moving meteor

In the sky over the Mediterranean Sea on Saturday, December 23, was recorded a slowly moving meteor. The event lasted about 14 seconds before the celestial body exploded.

“This wonderful meteor, which resembled a Christmas star, was seen in Spain at 22:07 local time (21:07 UTC),” said Jose Maria Madiedo, a professor at the University of Huelva.

Presumably, it was part of a comet fragment that entered the earth’s atmosphere at a speed of 43,000 km / h. His flight began at an altitude of about 93 km and ended at an altitude of 60 km above the Mediterranean Sea.
