The fall of the meteorite was recorded in Spain

This bright meteorite flew over Spain on September 4, 2020 at about 3:14 am local time. It entered the atmosphere at a speed of about 54,000 km / h.

It became visible at an altitude of about 101 km above the province of Toledo and disappeared at an altitude of about 75 km. The total length traveled by the meteoroid in the atmosphere was about 45 km.

The event was recorded as part of the SMART project, which is implemented by the Southwest Europe Meteor Network (SWEMN). This event was observed from meteorological stations located in La Jita (Toledo), La Sagra (Granada) and Seville.
